Our diverse student body includes more than 300 students from around the country and the world. They are united in the common goal of the pursuit of great science, at a great school, in a great city. This is where their careers begin. Meet some of our students, both current and alumni, below.
Carrie Adelman is a student in the Allied Program in Molecular Biology of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. She works in the laboratory of Dr. John Petrini.
Andrea Basso received a Ph.D. from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in 2003. Andrea is currently engaged in postdoctoral work in the tumor biology division at Schering-Plough.
Eli Berdougo is a student in the Allied Program in Molecular Biology of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He works in the laboratory of Dr. Prasad Jallepalli.
Jeanne Farrell is a student in the Pharmacology Program. Jeanne is currently working in the laboratory of the program's director, Dr. Lonny Levin.
Ryan Heller recieved his Ph.D. in 2006 from the Biochemistry & Structural Biology Program of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. In his 2005 interview, Ryan discusses his entree into science and his work in Dr. Kenneth Marians' laboratory.
Barry Kappel is a 2006 graduate of the Pharmacology Program, and a 2001 recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowship. In a September, 2003 interview, Barry discussed the importance of the mentoring relationship, the translational science advantage, and life in "the greatest city in the world".
Li Ma is a 2006 graduate of the Molecular Biology Program, and is currently continuing her training at an academic institution in the Northeast. In a September, 2005 interview, Li discussed her interest in science, her move from China to the US, and her work in Dr. Pier Paolo Pandolfi's Molecular & Developmental Biology Laboratory.
John Schoggins will recieve his Ph.D. in 2007 from the Molecular Biology Program of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He works in the laboratory of the Program's co-chair, Dr. Erik Falck-Pederson.
