The Graduate School has undergone a significant transformation in the last several years, which in turn has led to the formation of a revitalized Alumni Association. One of the measurable changes for the Graduate School has been the feeling amongst our students that a community is fostered while in Graduate School. Throughout our time in Graduate School, strong alliances are forged amongst the students as well as with the faculty and staff of Cornell. The Alumni Association is committed to building upon the existing alliances and looking for ways to branch out and form new relationships as we enter different chapters of our careers.
The first order of business for the current Alumni Association Executive Committee was to reach out to the alumni community and organize a reception at the Cornell Club. The successful turnout of alumni, from mostly the tri-state area, at a wine tasting event last spring, fomented our notion that a viable and vibrant Alumni Association will be sustainable. In the coming months we'll be preparing an alumni directory. This directory will allow Weill Cornell graduates to maintain our personal connections and help develop our professional ones through networking.
We invite you to take part in the formation of a cohesive and enthusiastic alumni community. Send us your ideas and thoughts for how the Association can benefit you, join us at an upcoming alumni reception, and network with the diverse group of scientists that make up our Alumni Association.
